About
Hi, I’m Julia Meibos
Don’t worry; it’s not just you. Teachers have been tripping over my last name since kindergarten.
Think ‘Midas Touch’ but with a ‘b’ instead of a ‘d.’
What is “The Meibos Touch?”
In Greek Mythology, King Midas wished to turn everything he touched into gold, a power known as “The Midas Touch.” Of course, as the tragedy goes, this fortune-bringing power would eventually be to his torment.
Luckily, the Meibos Touch is a little different. Can I turn things into gold? No. And the truth is, I don’t need to.
I partner with soul-led creatives and brands that are already doing golden things in the world. I help them sort through the pieces they have. And together, we figure out content creation systems that work for their brand and their nervous system.
My approach to this whole “marketing” thing
I say that word with a grimace. I must be the most anti-marketing marketing girl on the planet. I know all of the social media “should’s” and have been personally burned by them; caught between being frozen and not showing up at all, or showing up sometimes and burning out.
These online platforms are simply tools. It is up to us how we approach them and how much power we give them over us. Let me tell you a little bit about my philosophy, crafted from over a decade in the field. Here's how we’ll do things a little differently:
Their Way:
1-size-fits-all strategy and demanding content calendars
Our Approach:
Together, we become more aware of your creative rhythms and what showing up online looks like when it works with your nervous system rather than against it. We figure out your unique systems — supportive without being restrictive. Your body and intuition are trying to help you, after all.
Their Way:
Chasing consistency to please the algorithm, even when it drains you.
Our Approach:
We prioritize joy and curiosity because we know that if we pursue the things that are fun/easy/energizing for us, it will lead us to paths and opportunities that are aligned and energetically sustainable. Because of this, we trust our intuition, which often presents as simple curiosities.
Their Way:
The goal is virality: more views, more reach, more everything
Our Approach:
We're not after most people; we're after the right people. Reach is a number. Resonance is a relationship. We build for the people who'll stay long after the scroll – because those are the ones who actually become community worth building a brand and business around.
On a personal note…
A bit about me
I'm Julia — a marketer, photographer, designer, and creative coach with over a decade of experience helping small businesses tell their stories online. My work has spanned industries from wellness to agriculture, where we marketed to farmers who didn’t have email addresses (yes, really). In all of it, the through-line has always been the same: the most powerful marketing is the kind that doesn't feel like marketing.
Behind the work is a quieter story. My life has given me many chances to untangle myself from who others expect me to be and trust my own knowing instead. It’s my deepest honor to help you do the same. I don’t have the answers – you do. Let’s find them together.

things that bring me joy
I don’t believe in guilty pleasures. I always have Enya and a rotation of obscure female pop stars in my top artists.

This wasn’t always my career.
Here’s a little bit of my background. Before I was your creative collaborator, I was:
High School Choir Teacher
I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was in third grade. I even asked for an overhead projector for Christmas so I could pretend to be “Miss Meibos.” But during student teaching, I realized the current education system was a demanding, energetic mismatch. I felt like a failure, not loving what I had worked so hard for. I got my diploma and immediately pivoted after college.
Wedding Photographer
Enter: the pivot! While working a full-time office job, I built my own thriving photography business. At its height, I was putting in 40-hour workweeks while shooting double-headers on most summer weekends. I loved it… Until I shot a season while going through a divorce. Brokenhearted, facing my burnout was no longer avoidable. The business I loved, built from the ground up, had become what felt like a prison of creative expectation.
Marketing Strategist
Marketing was always my full-time job. So when my photography business felt misaligned, I went all in on it. After growing with small businesses, I worked at an agency for the first time. It was remote, but the long work weeks and the list of fire-hot emergencies were never-ending. This led to the peak of my burnout. I wasn’t working or creating; it truly felt like I couldn’t.
I'm not a marketer who happens to coach creatives. I'm a creative who became a marketer and learned a lot about the seasonal shifts in creative energy through impactful (also read: painful) first-hand experience. I know that no amount of marketing know-how will ever make it easier to market yourself and/or something you care about.
I have a feeling that if you’ve made it this far, you likely relate to my story. So I know you’re a safe space. Hello, friend.
This isn’t the place for marketing strategies or content trends. No. This is a place to redefine our relationship with social media. Figure out how to use social media as a tool for personal growth to help you connect with the people who need you.
Three career pivots that felt like passions lost. One big lesson.
What finally shifted
I couldn’t figure out why I was having such a hard time sharing my own creative work and business online, even though marketing was my professional specialty. It wasn’t a knowledge problem – it was a fear of visibility.
That fear is the whole reason The Creative's Garden exists. It's a 12-week program for getting comfortable being seen — not a content machine, and not a "post every day" challenge. Once a day, you'll talk to a camera. As you are, perfectionism be damned. You're seen in stages — first by the camera, then by yourself, then by the group — until being yourself on camera is easier to maintain. In the final stage of the course, you’re invited to begin posting online.
By building up in stages, we gain invaluable insight into how our unique selves respond to each part of the creation process. With this insight, we can create our own systems and grow, baby, grow!
If any of this has you nodding your head, I’d love to have you along. See you in the garden?

Things we value around here
-

Curiosity Over Fear
Wonder is where creativity begins. When we stay curious, we stay open to new ideas, new ways of seeing the world, and new versions of ourselves. Where fear shuts the door and keeps us paralyzed, curiosity cracks it open.
-

To Be Human is to Be Creative
All kindergarteners know they’re artists. Being an adult makes it hard to remember, but we are all creatives in our own unique way. Creativity keeps us connected to our joy and to each other.
-

Be the Community You Want to Have
Lead with generosity. Celebrate others loudly. Share what you’ve learned. The best way to change the world is to change your community.
-

Authenticity Over Ego
Real connection comes from bold honesty. You cannot have real connection unless you dare to be vulnerably yourself. Forget the demands of the ego; this is the salt of life.
