A gentle 3-week challenge you’ll actually do · Starts January 5 · $197
A daily, private talk-to-camera practice for creatives who have things to say but are stuck in their heads. Three minutes a day. Just for you. Last round, all 10 participants finished, each with a unique result.
See what it unblocks for you.
Dance Record like no one’s watching
(Because no one is)
Something happens between your ideas and the record button.
The thought of being cringey keeps you from starting
You’re so busy trying to say it right that you start performing a version of yourself.
The second you go to record an idea, your mind goes blank.
You’re great live, but don’t know who to be when talking to only a camera.
Overthinking leads you to post in spurts (followed by long silences) or not at all.
You’ve tried other challenges, and quietly stop by day four. (Or never start)
You can hype up everyone else's work, but freeze the second it's your own.
You record, stop, start over. Every pause feels like proof you’re not articulate enough, and you don’t have time to do it ten more times.
It’s been so long that “I just can’t do this” has started to feel like a fact.
This is for you if:
If you recognized yourself up there, it's not a discipline problem.
When being seen doesn't feel safe, showing up is tremendously hard.
So in the garden, we start somewhere gentler: with you, alone, and a camera. Recordings nobody else will see.
I learned this the hard way. A post-every-day content challenge left me sick for months. So I tried the opposite: I recorded myself every day for 100 days with no plan to post. Almost none of those videos ever went public. They didn't need to. That experiment is where this challenge came from.
Why record videos no one else will ever see?
Fair question. Talking to yourself out loud every day shows you exactly what has been keeping you quiet. Your ideas get clearer, the cringe gets quieter, and the record button stops feeling like a cliff.
Recording a measly video for yourself every day seems small. It makes sense to want to know the ROI. But that is yours to find out. When you commit yourself to the process, it acts as a mirror. It will show you what is currently blocking you, giving you the opportunity to face it. Where it takes you is yours to find out. Here's where it took the ten gardeners who went first.
What happens in three weeksThis process will be different for everybody. Here's what I can promise: If you keep this small daily promise to yourself, starting will get easier.
In the first round, all 10 participants finished. Every single one.
The first cohort did the exact same practice every day, from all over the world, and it rippled out in completely different directions. It tends to land wherever you've been most stuck.
It showed up in Hiske’s online presence.
"It really lowered the threshold of making videos for me… now I'm filming it, and I’m sharing it, even if it’s not perfect."
Hiske was used to sharing on her stories, but the idea of reels felt permanent and scary. This process helped her stop overthinking her Reels. She posted nine times on her feed that month, something she hadn't done in a long while. She even posted a video about perfectionism with bad audio and bad lighting, and saw the lowered threshold as a success. "I just posted it."
It showed up in Danette’s life.
"I don't stick with things… especially challenges or programs I buy online. I usually don't even start them."
But this time, Danette finished. And that same month, she had her most consistent stretch at the gym ever: 19 out of 25 days. "A bunch of things I've never been able to be consistent with got consistent this month." Really big things can start happening when you keep one small promise to yourself.
It showed up in Nicole’s viral post.
"I hadn't posted for months… and I did all of a sudden get the urge to during this challenge."
Nicole felt the pull to share a story she'd been sitting on for months, about someone she'd watched grow. It reached about 28,000 people. "It felt aligned. It ended up being good for everybody involved." Visibility that helps you spread a mission you care about matters so much more than any vanity metrics. What if this process helps orient you to what is yours to share?
So: where will it ripple for you? That's the fun part. Come find out.
What is the Creative’s Garden? We celebrate all of Earth's seasons, then expect ourselves to be consistent.
But we have seasons, too.
Every creative cycle starts in winter: quiet, underground, unseen. Before anything blooms, a thought has to get out of your head and into the world, even if the only person who hears it is you.
That's what these three weeks are. Not content. Not posting. Just the first, most overlooked step: saying it out loud.
Come as you are. No makeup, pajamas, mid-cry, on the couch. These recordings are private and just for you. We are not trying to get anything worth sharing. Instead, we’re lowering the stakes soooooo much that creating can actually be fun again.
This is your playground to discover you can be yourself on camera. And that when you're yourself, magic happens.
How the challenge works
21 days. A few minutes each. Nobody watching.
1. Record
Each day, talk to your camera for about three to five minutes. This video should be unscripted and not driven by any preconceived purpose. It is not meant to be useful or “good.” Consider it a mind dump; share what's on your heart, on your mind, whatever comes. Nobody needs to watch it, not even you.
3. Gather
Three times along the way, we meet as a group to share what's shifting and what's hard. It’s your chance to connect with others going through the same process as you and ask me your questions. Group calls are optional and will be recorded in case you can’t make it.
2. Log
Jot down what you talked about and how it felt in your body, in your own private garden dashboard.
The small daily ask you’ll actually doBuilt for the days you don't feel like it.
What if we create a content creation process customized just for you? In order to do that, we have to figure out what it looks like to record on the days you don’t want to.
That includes the days where:
You don’t think you have anything to say
You’re still in your pj’s
There’s a lot going on, and it feels like you have no time
That being said, you're a human, not a content machine. If there’s ever a day when you really don’t want to… don’t. The whole purpose of this task is to create in sync with your nervous system. That means finding out what it is and isn’t willing to do at this stage of being seen.
Group call dates:
Kickoff call: January 4th
Week 1 check-in: January 12th
Wrap-up call: January 26th
Every call is recorded in case you can’t make it.
And a little reward for finishing: log at least 18 of the 21 days, and you'll get a free 45-minute one-on-one call with me. We'll look at what came up for you and where you might go next.
Most of us have a graveyard of courses we paid for and never finished. A daily practice can feel a little froofy at first, and the inner critic is loud: what's the point? A practice this small, with people expecting you back, gets you past that voice long enough to see what's on the other side.
"See myself not want to do it, and then do it and check that box. It was empowering."
"It trained that muscle for just doing it… I'm in my pajamas, and I'm not going to get dressed for this, but that's okay. The point is to do it."
This isn't about unbroken streaks. Miss a day when life happens. Then come back.

This is just the beginning
These 21 days are the first season of The Creative's Garden. If you want to see what grows from them, here's where the garden is headed:
Weeks 1-3
WINTER
By the end, you'll have a whole bed of cuttings: weeks of recordings and notes about what you really think. Thoughts that are really, truly yours.
Next season
Watch a few past recordings and practice deciding what's just for you and what might be worth sharing.
SPRING
Next season
Create something from your ideas, editing a few, with no pressure to post.
SUMMER
Next season
The harvest. Share with the group or online.
FALL
The idea is to practice visibility in small, bite-sized chunks. Each part of online visibility has its own unique challenges. If you want to keep going after the challenge, we can explore working together one-on-one. No pressure either way.
A note from me: why I built this
I built this out of my own necessity. I know what it’s like to feel confused by my own desire to share my perspectives online, while also being terrified of it. I've lived every part of this. The freeze, the burnout, the slow work of letting myself be seen.
Before I created this challenge, I tried my fair share of other content courses. One had me posting once every day, and my body couldn’t hack it. I got sick and stayed sick for months. I couldn’t help but feel my body was responding to this sudden, drastic change in how I approached visibility.
So I gave myself a different challenge. One that worked with the messages my body was sending me. I recorded myself every day for 100 days, knowing I would most likely never post them. And I was right. Almost none of those videos were ever posted. They didn't need to be.
After I saw amazing results for myself, I was excited to share this process with other creatives. The first time I ran this challenge, I really didn't know if it would work for anyone but me.
Then 10 people from all over the world showed up every day for three weeks, and each of them walked away with something different. One of them told me, "I think you've found something really, really unique." Another told me that it shifted her world for the better. I really hope it does the same for yours, too.
What you notice will help shape what the garden becomes. I'd be honored to walk this with you. The garden's open.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
My friend. Yes!!!!! You're definitely in the right place. These recordings are just for you, so there's no safer place to experiment with your voice.
-
Honestly? Skipping a day is part of the practice. Trying to do anything every single day is an idealistic (and often unrealistic) goal. This isn't about unbroken streaks. Life happens. Miss a day, then come back. That's the practice. You only need 18 of the 21 days to earn your free one-on-one call, so I have built some flexibility into this process.
-
Nope, it’s not necessary. Nothing you record leaves your phone unless you want it to. Some people find themselves posting more along the way. Some don't. Both are wins.
-
Same, twin. I built this system after being burnt out on a daily posting challenge. It was unsustainable for me then, and I needed a stepping stone to get there. The garden is the stepping stone. Here, the daily part is private, takes a few minutes, and asks nothing of the algorithm.
-
Absolutely. You don’t need to want to be an influencer to gain valuable insights from this process. Visibility comes in many forms. Several people have come to the garden solely to practice communicating their ideas in their second (or fifth) languages. Some people want to get more comfortable in front of a camera so that they can lead their own online communities. We don't care about vanity metrics. If you just want to feel more like yourself on camera, or keep one promise to yourself, this is for you.
-
All humans are inherently creative. Painters, musicians, entrepreneurs, moms, dentists. You belong here.
-
About 5 to 10 minutes a day to record and log, plus three group calls over the challenge (all optional and recorded).
-
A phone or camera and internet access. We’re keeping it as simple as possible. No lighting, no backdrop, no microphone required. However, if you’re worried about storage space, an external hard drive may be helpful. You can record videos straight to the external drive and keep the files off of your phone.
